Simulating Proportional Representation
In my free time, I'm often bored, so what's a better thing to do than occupy my time by using the 2022 Federal Election to speculate on proportional representation! Feel free to critique my speculation through email or mastodon. Or alternatively, use the creative commons license to improve upon my work.
Also worth noting, I know the limitations of simulating elections like how people might vote differently if presented a party list. I also recognise the constitutional challenges associated with some systems, but this is a product of me being bored and wanting to do something.

As for my own views on proportional representation, I don't know if its a good or a bad thing. For example, more fringe parties from the 'centre' have more power over how the government works, and I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. Especially, with how controversial and openly hostile, provocative and obstructionist the Greens and One Nation have been in recent years, and having those parties with significant power over the confidence and supply of a government doesn't comfortably with me, personally.
I just play around with election data because I find it a fun thing to do, procrastinate and waste my time on.
